What's Special About Pool Rummy on Rummy Circle?
This is a 13 card rummy game played amongst 2 players. The game is played with 1 pack of 52 cards. This game is played in a knock-out format.
Rules:
- A set of 13 cards is randomly dealt to each player and a toss is made to decide which player makes the first move.
- First card from the pack is placed in the open deck indicating that the game has started, while the remaining cards are placed face-down forming the closed deck.
- The game objective is to arrange all 13 cards in sequences and/or sets.
- A Sequence is composed of 3 or more running cards of the same suit. Eg: 3♥4♥5♥.
- A Set is formed by 3 or more cards having the same face value. Eg: 2♥2♠2♣ or 7♥7♠7♣7♦.
- A Joker is a versatile and a very significant card that is selected randomly at the start of each rummy game. The versatility of joker lies in the fact that it can be used in place of any other card and one or more jokers can be employed to complete/fill your sets and sequences.
- A Pure Sequence is considered to be a player's lifeline in a game of rummy. A Pure Sequence is one that has no joker. Without a pure sequence in hand, if your opponent declares, the sum of points of all cards in hand will be counted as your score.
- To finish the game, a player must have at least two sequences, at least one of which must be pure.
